Christi Siver is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the College of Saint Benedict/St. John’s University. She teaches courses on international relations, comparative politics, international political economy, American foreign policy and international security.
She earned her Ph.D. in Political Science in 2009 from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. Her dissertation, titled “The Dark Side of the Band of Brothers: Understanding Unit Involvement in War Crimes,” used organizational theory to understand why some military units participate in war crimes while others do not. Her research interests include international security, human rights, conflict resolution and military organizations. She has presented research at the American Political Science Association National Conference as well as other regional and local conferences.
Dr. Siver also has an M.A. in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, located in Washington, DC. She received her B.A. in International Affairs and East Asian Studies from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR.
